Lovebirds Shredding Paper

The lovebirds tear off strips of paper with their beaks and carefully tuck them into their tail feathers. It looks as if they’re making feather extensions, but actually they are gathering the materials for building their nests. (Lovebirds mate for life.)
모란앵무는 부리로 종이 조각을 찢어 조심스럽게 꼬리 깃털에 집어넣는다. 꼬리 깃털을 늘리려는 것처럼 보이지만, 사실은 둥지를 짓기 위해 재료를 모으는 중이다. (모란앵무 부부는 평생동안 같이 산다.)
