Trump Talks ‘Winning Too Much”

Because of Trump, we’ve basically invented a new Chinese expression: “Yingxue(winism).” It means that no matter what the actual outcome is, he’ll just declare victory anyway. Facts don’t matter, the story does. If you’re shameless enough, you can spin anything as a win.

트럼프 때문에 사실상 중국에서 신조어 하나가 생겼어요. 바로 “승리학(嬴學)”입니다. 그 뜻은 실제 결과가 어떻든 상관없이, 어쨌든 자신이 이겼다고 선언하는 태도를 말합니다. 사실보다 서사가 중요하고 뻔뻔하기만 하면 무엇이든 “승리”로 포장할 수 있습니다. ㅋㅋㅋ
