I’d like to introduce a Chinese AI TV series created using Seedance 2.0. It’s been getting great reviews lately. Like Hope, it’s a sci-fi disaster series about alien invasions, mutations, and humanity’s fight for survival.

I haven’t watched Hope yet, so I can’t really compare the two. But I’ve heard its production cost was around 70 billion KRW.

This Chinese AI series may not look as polished as Hope, but here’s the crazy part: it costs only about 100,000 KRW per episode to produce.

This year, there are so many AI series like this. It’s reported that a team of around 20 people can generate an 80-episode series in just 48 hours. No wonder actors are struggling to find work —they’d probably spend more than 48 hours just reading the script.

By the way, on a completely different note, news about the Korean stock market has been spreading in China lately, so now many Chinese people have even learned the Korean term “ants” for retail investors. In China, though, they’re called “chives.” The idea is that chives grow back quickly after being cut, so they can be harvested over and over again.

올해 들어 이런 AI 드라마가 정말 쏟아지고 있습니다. 보도에 따르면 20명 정도의 팀이 단 48시간 만에 80부작 드라마를 제작할 수 있다고 합니다. 배우들이 일자리를 구하기 어려워진 것도 이해가 됩니다. 대본을 읽는 데만 해도 48시간은 넘게 걸릴 테니까요.

아, 좀 다른 얘기지만 요즘 한국 주식시장 소식이 중국에도 많이 퍼져서, 이제는 중국인들도 ‘개미’라는 표현을 알게 됐더라고요. 중국에서는 ‘부추’라고 부릅니다. 부추는 한 번 베어도 금방 다시 자라니까, 계속 털어먹을 수 있다는 뜻이죠. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
