Chongqing East Railway Station

After seven years of construction, Chongqing East Railway Station finally opened on June 27, 2025. Spanning 1.22 million square meters (* approximately 13 times the size of Seoul Station), it is now the largest railway station in Asia and serves as a key hub in China’s national ‘Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal’ high-speed railway network.

2025년 6월 27일, 7년간의 건설 끝에 마침내 충칭 동부 철도역이 개통되었습니다. 122만 제곱미터(* 서울역의 약 13배)의 면적을 자랑하는 이 역은, 아시아 최대 규모의 철도역으로서 중국 국가 고속철도망인 ‘8종8횡’의 핵심 허브 역할을 맡게 됩니다.
