When a Rescue Mission Takes a Darkly Funny Turn

A man accidentally falls into the water. A firefighter ties a loop in a rope and throws it to him.

Firefighter: “Grab the rope, I’ll pull you up!”
Man: (loops it around his neck)
Firefighter: “No, no! This is a rescue, not an assisted suicide!”

I know it’s wrong to laugh, but I just can’t stop myself.
