“There was also a warining that if Canda retaliates, the tariffs will increase. So there is a preemptive strike or at least in terms of a message to the Canadian government that if it retaliates with the targeted tariffs that it has been planning to, then the percentages will go up. This is something the president said. Remember when we were watching the video of him speaking in the Oval Office yesterday, he says the taffis maybe go up, maybe not, he sort of floated it out there. Well, it’s been communicated I’m told to the Canadian government that if there is a retaliation of any kind, then the US will increase it’s trade action against this country.”
