Mulan (2020)

Hua Mulan was a legendary female warrior from the Northern and Southern Dynasties period of Chinese history. She disguised as a man , taking her aged father’s place in the army. She fought for 12 years and gained high ranks, but after the war, she refused any rewards and retired to her hometown. Mulan means magnolia in Chinese. Magnolia is my favorite flower, because it blooms in April.

화목란은 중국 남북조 시대의 전설적인 여성 전사예요. 그녀는 늙은 아버지를 대신해 남장을 하고 군대에 입대했고, 12년 동안 전쟁터에서 싸우며 높은 지위까지 올랐어요. 하지만 전쟁이 끝난 뒤에는 어떤 보상도 받지 않고 조용히 고향으로 돌아갔죠. 목련은 제가 가장 좋아하는 꽃이에요. 4월에 활짝 피는 그 모습이 참 아름답거든요.^^

봉황이 왜 황제의 오른손에 앉아 있는줄 아니?

그녀는 황제의 수호자이기 때문이란다. 보호를 하고 있지. 아름다우면서 강한 봉황이란다. 네 역할은 집안의 면예를 드높이는 것이다. 할 수 있겠니?
Commander:
Citizens, we are under attack from northern invaders.
주민들이야, 우리는 현재 북방의 침략자에게 공격을 받고 있다.
Minister:
Their leader calls himself Bori Khan.
그들의 지도자는 “보리칸’이라고 하옵니다.
Minister:
Fight alongside with witch.
마녀와 함께 싸우고 있죠.
Bori Khan:
No surviviors.
생존자를 남기지 마라.
Commander:
By edict of his imperial Majesty, every family must contribute one man to fight.
황제 폐하의 명으로 모든 집안의 남자 한명은 참전해야 한다.
Commander:
Have you no son?
아들이 없소?
Father:
I am blessed with two daughters, I will fight.
두딸만 있습니다. 제가 싸우겠습니다.
Mother:
We must be strong, this time he will not return.
우리는 강하게 마음을 먹어야 해. 이번에 아버지는 돌아오시지 못할 거니까.
Mulan:
Loyal, brave and true, just my duty to protect my family.
총성, 용기, 진실, 가족을 지키는 건 내 의무야.
Father:
Ancestors, please protect her.
조상님, 뮬란을 지켜주소서.
Commander:
What’s your name, solider?
자네의 이름이 뭔가?
Mulan:
Hua jun, commander, son of Hua zhou.
화준, 사령관님, 화조우의 아들이죠.
Commander:
We‘re gonna make man out of every single one of you.
우리는 너희 모두를 진정한 남자로 만들어주겠다.
Soldier:
Close the gate.
성벽을 닫아라!
General:
The spirit is evident, as something holds you back.
너의 정신은 확고하다, 하지만 무언가가 널 막고 있구나.
Witch:
When they find out who you are, they will show you no mercy.
그들이 너의 정체를 알았을때 자비 따위는 없을 것이다.
Mulan:
I am Hua Mulan, I will bring honor to us all.
내 이름은 화뮬란, 우리 모두의 명예를 드높일 것이다.
