Mount Siguniang

Mount Siguniang, the highest peak in Sichuan at 6,250 meters, is known for its absolutely stunning scenery. You get everything from snowy summits and massive glaciers to rich, beautiful forests all in one place. It’s no wonder Mount Siguniang National Park was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006.

It’s about 220 km from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, and takes around two to three hours by car. And this is the most beautiful time of year — the pure white snow and the autumn colors blend together in a truly breathtaking way. Driving through scenery like this just lifts your mood instantly.

사천성에서 가장 높은 산인 쓰꾸냥산은 해발 6,250m로, 압도적인 자연 절경으로 잘 알려져 있어요. 이곳에서는 새하얀 설산, 거대한 빙하, 울창한 숲까지 한 번에 감상할 수 있습니다. 이런 이유로 쓰꾸냥산 국가공원은 2006년에 유네스코 세계자연유산으로 지정되었죠.

쓰꾸냥산은 사천성의 수도인 청두에서 약 220km 떨어져 있으며, 차로 2~3시간 정도면 도착할 수 있어요. 그리고 지금이 1년 중 가장 아름다운 시즌이에요—순백의 설산과 가을 단풍이 완벽하게 어우러져 정말 숨막히게 아름다운 풍경을 만들어줘요. 이런 길을 달리다 보면 기분이 절로 좋아질 수밖에 없죠. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Conquering a snowy peak has basically become the new way for Chinese men to prove themselves. They might not reach the peak, but these days almost every man gives it a try at least once.

한국에서는 골프 잘 치는 게 남자들 사이에서 은근한 자랑거리지만, 중국에서는 요즘 설산을 타는 게 진짜 대세예요. 이제는 설산 하나쯤 정복했다는 게 중국 남자들이 자신을 어필하는 새로운 방식이 돼버렸죠. 정상은 못 찍어도 요즘은 다 한 번쯤 가보더라구요. ㅋㅋㅋ
