Canada Will Match US Tariffs ‘Dollar for Dollar’

The era of U.S. global dominance seems to be over. The U.S. swings its tariff hammer, and Canada turns around and hits back with the exact same tariffs—whatever you slap on us, we’ll slap right back. Not backing down an inch. Nobody listens to you anymore—except Japan, maybe. After all, you did bomb the hell out of them. I guess some of that trauma is still there.

I have to say, I’m a little ‘disappointed’. The United States is only about 250 years old! I thought the “American Empire” still had a few more seasons left. Turns out we’re already moving on to the “Multipolar World.”

미국이 세계를 독주하던 시대는 이제 끝난 것 같다. 미국이 관세라는 몽둥이를 휘두르자 캐나다도 곧바로 똑같은 관세로 맞받아쳤다. “너희가 우리한테 때린 만큼 우리도 그대로 돌려주겠다”는 식이다. 한 치도 물러서지 않는다. 이제 미국이 무슨 말을 해도 다들 말을 안 듣는다. 일본 정도만 빼고. 하긴, 그렇게 두들겨 맞았으니 아직도 트라우마가 남아 있나 보다.

좀 실망스럽다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 미국은 건국한 지 이제 겨우 250년 정도밖에 안 됐는데? 나는 그래도 ‘일강독주(一强獨走)’가 몇 시즌은 더 갈 줄 알았다. 그런데 벌써 ‘군웅할거(群雄割据)’ 시즌으로 넘어가고 있는 모양이다. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
