The most mind blowing scene when I was a kid. I got to know how tiny the humans are in the scale of the universe. 🙂

Scene 1

Jay:
Key… Look, I know we got these rules and everything, but I was thinking she did help us bust that bug, maybe we don’t have to flashy-thing it.
케이… 규정이 중요한 건 알지만 그녀가 우리를 도와서 외계 벌레를 죽였으니 플래시 쏘지 마요. (플래시를 쏘면 외계인을 본 기억이 사라진다)
Kay, come on, man, who’s she gonna tell anyway, she hang out with all dead people.
케이, 이러지 마요. (설마 발설하겠어요?) 그녀가 누구에게 얘기할 수 있겠어요? 그녀는 죽은 사람들과만 일을 해요. (그녀는 검시관이다.)

Kay:
It’s not for her, it’s for me.
그녀가 아니라 내 기억을 지우려는 거야.

Jay:
What?
네?

Kay:
They are beautiful, aren’t they? Stars… I never look at them anymore but they actually are quite, um… beautiful.
참 아름답지? 별들 말이야… 그런데 더 이상 쳐다 보지 않게 됐지. (별에 뭐가 있는지 알기 때문에) 사실, 음… 참 아름다운데 말야.

Jay:
Kay, you’re frightening your partner.
케이, 파트너에게 겁주지 마요.

Kay:
I haven’t been training a partner, I have been training a replacement.
나는 파트너가 아니라 나를 대신할 사람을 훈련해 온 거야.

Jay:
Wait a minute, Kay. I can not do this job by myself.
점깐만요. 케이! 나 혼자서는 이 일을 할 수 없어요.

Elle:
Hey, guys, my apartment isn’t anywhere near here, it’s not even on the same island.
여러분, 제 아파트까지는 갈 길이 멀어요. 심지어 이 섬에 있는 것도 아니구요.

Kay:
Days, months, years… always face it forward.
일, 월, 년… (다이얼 설명 중) 얼굴에 정면으로 쏘면 돼.
I’ve just been down the gullet of an interstellar cockroach, kid.
난 방금 외계 바퀴벌레의 뱃 속에 들어갔다 나왔다구, 신입.
That’s one of a hundred memories I don’t want. See you around, Jay.
이 경험은 내가 기억하고 싶지 않은 백 가지 중 하나야. 제이, 또 보자구.

Jay:
No, you won’t.
아니요, 그럴 일 없을 거예요.

Scene 2

Elle:
Hey, Jay, Zed called. The high consulate from Solaxiant 9 wants floor seats for the next Bulls game.
이봐요, 제이, 제드가 전화했어요. 솔라시언트 9 행성 영사가 다음 불스 경기의 플로어 시트(코트 바로 앞 자리)를 달래요.

Jay:
All right, let’s put in a call to Dennis Rodman, he’s from that planet.
알았어요. 데니스 로드맨에게 전화 한 통 넣어야 겠네요. 그 행성 출신이거든요.

Elle:
Rodman, are you kidding?
로드맨이? 농담해요?

Jay:
Nope.
아뇹.

Elle:
Not much of a disguise.
별로 위장하지 않긴 했지만.
